Your windshield wipers need to be replaced every few months, so it’s good to know how to change wiper blades, as it’s a simple procedure anyone can do at home and it only takes a few minutes. Follow these steps and you’ll always have a fresh pair of blades.
Worn blades can produce a streaking effect and can also squeak or just not perform very well. These signs let you know to replace the blades. Before you replace the blades, buy a new pair, making sure they’re right for your make and model.
Now it’s time to get started. Pull up the blade assembly and make the blade perpendicular to the arm so the hinge is showing. Find the tab sticking out and pull it out, then remove the blade.
From here, it’s as easy as putting the new blade in right back where you got the old one, like the hook up with the hinge so you know which hole it goes in, and wait for it to click into place. Lower the arm back down, and you’re all finished!
