Undoubtedly, the Jeep Wrangler is one of the most iconic vehicles on the road in the United States. Just driving a Jeep instantly gives you a nationwide family of other Wrangler owners. Now, we’re getting new details on the next generation of this beloved off-road legend.
Most importantly, the Wrangler will keep its characteristic boxy design. One thing that engineers are working hard to do is to shed some pounds from the Wrangler. This is important to increase its fuel efficiency. One way they may accomplish this is by removing the spare tire from the rear door and replacing it with a space-saver tire under the Jeep.
Another change is the fold-down windshield will most likely disappear. This will make the Wrangler both safer and easier to manufacture. According to Left Lane News, one rumor is that the Wrangler may come with an available power-retractable soft top, much like a convertible.
We won’t be seeing this fourth-generation Jeep Wrangler until at least 2016. What do you hope to see in the newest version of the Wrangler?
