Before you can purchase any Chrysler vehicle, that vehicle must be meticulously manufactured. Fortunately, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have some of the best manufacturing plants around. They also have the award to prove it.
According to a FCA press release, the FCA US Tipton Transmission Plant earned a Bronze milestone from World Class Manufacturing. World Class Manufacturing reviews the practices and efficiency of automobile manufacturing plants from around the world. Their bronze milestone is awarded to only a handful of the best of those plants.
The Tipton Transmission Plant, which opened in 2014, earned the bronze level after only two years of operation, making it the fastest North American manufacturing facility to earn the recognition.
“From the day the doors first opened, Tipton Transmission has been working diligently to not only build one of the most advanced transmissions on the market, but to implement World Class Manufacturing,” said Brian Harlow, Vice President of Manufacturing for FCA North America. “Today’s award recognizes their hard work and dedication to integrating WCM into all aspects of the plant’s culture and achieving their goal. We extend our congratulations to all of the employees at our newest bronze plant.”
The manufacturing team at the Tipton Transmission Plant has earned the bronze by making sure that the vehicles in the Chrysler family continue to earn the gold!
